Samuel Cole Salon Welcomes Master Stylist & Curl Specialist Jesslyn Irvin!

Jesslyn has been in the beauty industry for 23 years. After attending cosmetology school, Jesslyn completed an apprenticeship under a Master Stylist, and trained with Beth Minardi, a leading colorist in the hair industry. She has also trained with Vidal Sassoon and worked with Paul Mitchell Systems as a student and instructor. Further into her career she was givin the opportunity to work with DevaCurl. Jesslyn is a seasoned curly stylist confident with all curl types!

While Jesslyn is most known for her work with curly hair, she absolutely loves doing hair color! Jesslyn’s passion is working with women to allow their hair to age gracefully with them and turn back the clock a few years. Jesslyn truly enjoys working with women to find what works best for them at each stage of life. Getting older doesn’t mean giving up! Jesslyn is committed to working together to find what works within each person’s comfort zone!

Bridal Hair Styling Class

Bridal season at Samuel Cole Salon is almost here! In preparation, our stylists are treated to our much-anticipated annual Bridal Hair Styling class with master stylist Alley Biehl! Her experience with formal hair styling began in her middle school years doing hair for proms and formals. Throughout her career , she has had the opportunity to learn from some of the industries best educators which has increased her love for all things bridal.

Alley’s Bridal Styling class energizes stylists for the upcoming formal season by demonstrating skills behind all the red carpet looks. It covers everything from different pinning techniques and accessories, to the products used to create the look. Oribe’s Dry Texture Spray is a favorite for its soft hold and ability to create volume in any hair type while Davines Shimmering Mist adds a weightless shine. Alley’s class combines her passion for hair and love for growing fellow stylists to break down bridal and event hair styling while still keeping it simple and fun!

Our team loves to challenge themselves with her class and it’s always a hit!

Laced Hair Extensions

What’s your dream hair? Has anyone ever told you it’s possible? With Laced Hair Extensions, I’m here to tell you it is! Our stylists loved learning this new technique from the very energetic, extension specialist Cameron Kepford. Cameron is the owner of Haus of Heir salon in Davenport, Iowa and was an absolute delight to learn from! He brought his natural charisma and positive energy to our team to teach them a fresh method on hair extensions. This version of beaded row offers MORE volume and LESS maintenance! The hair is hand tied with the bead acting as a secure cushion for the hair. The hair feels comfortable and secure and looks absolutely amazing!!

Cameron and his team at Haus of Hair specialize in Laced Hair extensions and after working with it in this class, we can see why! Laced offers the very best quality in real hair with so many color options from blondes to brunettes to everything in between. Our model for this class was our very own master stylist Lauren Pittman.
