Master Stylists and Mentors Alley + Katie Hone Coaching Skills in NYC Workshop

Education Team Members Alley Biehl and Katie Purshce took part in the world-renowned 2-day workshop, “Fierce Conversations” in New York City at the acclaimed Bb.U in Manhattan. Based on Susan Scott’s best-selling book Fierce Conversations, the workshop provides a detailed road map for building a stronger team.

Instructors pushed attendees to expand their communication techniques to have conversations focused on passion, integrity and authenticity. The class examined the importance of productive coaching conversations being intelligent, productive discussions that build on and strengthen the culture of our salon.

As a mentor and coach, Fierce Conversations helped me get in the right mindset for focusing conversations on solutions rather than issues at hand. Our culture of feedback is so important to us and knowing how to better cultivate an environment of openness will help me lead my team!

Master Stylist Cara Harrison Attends Bumble & bumble’s Leadership Workshop in San Francisco

Master Stylist and Mentor Cara Harrison attended Bumble and bumble University’s Network Educator Series in San Francisco. As a member of our Education Team, Cara’s experience is instrumental in teaching several cutting, coloring and styling classes to Associates in our Immersion Program. Bumble and bumble’s Education Training builds stylists’ leadership, technical and teaching skills. The three-day course covered Bumble and bumble products and their key ingredients, leadership and presentation training, and inspiring hands-on styling. In this fast-paced industry, new inspiration is everywhere. Harnessing your inspiration to create something beautiful is a skill honed in all of Bumble & bumble’s classes.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn from top-industry stylists and professionals because it allows me to help future hairdressers build a strong foundation early in their careers.

Stylists Katie + Libby Attend Bumble & bumble Leadership Series in NYC

Committed to build leadership, technical and teaching skills, they attended Bumble and bumble University’s Network Educator Series at Bb.U in New York City.

The three-day course included sessions on product ingredients, leadership, presentation skills and hands-on styling. Educators demonstrated techniques that Bumble and bumble’s Global Artistic Director Laurent Philippon used to style runway models for Lacoste at New York Fashion Week. Katie and Libby loved these techniques, as they applied them in a hands-on session with live models.

Heather + Breanna Sharpen Razor Skills in Bb.U Cutting Workshop

Bumble and bumble’s flagship education center, Bumble and bumble University, is top in the industry. Their Bb.Cut Foundations class expands stylists’ knowledge of Cutting Theory, Advanced Consultation Skills, and Bumble and bumble products in addition to refining their razor cutting skills. Designers Heather Simpson and Breanna Shaffer attended this class to sharpen their eye and freshen their perspectives on the foundations of cutting.

Instructors Coco Santiago and James Ruiz demonstrated techniques and facilitated a hands-on workshop in which Heather + Breanna created a long layered haircut and a timeless classic, the bob haircut, on their models with individual feedback and guidance from the instructors. This class is instrumental in further mastering the art of razor cutting.

General Manager of Samuel Cole Salon, Mary Bledsole, and Master Stylist Cara Harrison recently took part in the world renowned 2-day workshop, “Fierce Conversations” in New York City at the acclaimed Bb.U in Manhattan. The workshop pushed attendees to expand their communication techniques to become more effective. The class focused on being authentic, speaking the truth and interrogating everyone’s reality in order to increase the likelihood of expanding and growing professional relationships in positive ways.
