Oribe’s Classic Bob: The Haircut of Fall 2017

Adam Livermore, a stylist at Muze Salon in New York City and Oribe Educator, demonstrated the haircut everyone in “The City” is asking for: the Classic Bob. Brilliant for a variety of hair types – fine to thick density and straight to wavy texture – the Classic Bob can be air dried for an undone casual Saturday stroll in the park or polished to perfection for a formal cocktail hour.

Stevie Smith gave this hair color phenomenon new life with her Wella Master Color expertise in our Master Class. Muting the rose and denim hues to blend with natural blonde and brunette gives the model a fun dimensional look while maintaining the integrity of her hair. The colorful panels can be hidden for a professional day-time style or accentuated with a side part and a few curls.

Alley and Dempsey attended the renowned Bb.U Curl Class at Bumble and bumble University in New York City. Curly hair comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, from spiral corkscrews to loose waves, and many curly-hair clients spend a lifetime looking for a stylist who can cut and style their hair in such a way that compliments their curls. This hands-on styling and cutting course addressed the needs of every curl type. The stylists identified various curl patterns and applied Bb.U design techniques to create dynamic looks that complimented the client’s natural curls.

She’s a popular social media beauty maven and insta-celebrity (@kellypeachbeauty), whose 16.1k Instagram followers give her a platform to share her vast knowledge of all things beauty – including self-styling tips!

Kelly Peach’s editorial styling class covered versatile skills that can be used for a variety of formal hairstyles – classic finger waves and a low rolled bun. Her modern iteration of finger waves is an ode to “Old Hollywood” and is a style that has been seen on the red carpet among Amy Adams, Blake Lively and Miranda Lambert. The low rolled bun has become a go-to formal look – donned by Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson and Emma Stone. Kelly Peach innovated these classic looks by combining them into one powerful modern editorial style.

Wella Color Genius Coco Kootsillas Reveals Color Trends in Master Class

Carla “Coco” Kootsillas, 2016 Wella Trendvision Runner Up, introduced the color mega-brand’s Spring – Summer 2017 Trend Inspiration: Ultra Contouring by Optical Illusions. The trend expands the scope of the selfie culture, toward ultra personalization. This Spring we will see people embracing brave and bold individuality, pushing to intensify their personal character, and going daringly and deliberately beyond a standardized beauty.

After introducing Wella’s trend forecast, Kootsillas facilitated a hands-on session in which Samuel Cole stylists consulted with and created custom formulations and application techniques for their models.
