Vaughn is revered as a top international grooming and editorial stylist. Celebrity clients include: George Clooney, Richard Gere, Daniel Day Lewis, Tom Brady, President Bill Clinton, Ashton Kutcher, Al Pacino, and Bruce Springsteen.

In 1976 Vaughn wielded his first pair of scissors. Two years later while modeling in Europe, he landed a hair campaign for famed stylists Vidal Sassoon and Trevor Sorbie. It was here that he realized a talent and passion for men’s styles and quickly became the most soughtafter stylist for men’s cuts.

Throughout his career, Vaughn’s work has appeared on the runways for designers including Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Isaac Mizrahi and Jil Sander.

May 20, 2013 (RALEIGH, NC) – Bumble & bumble educator, platform artist, and runway editorial artist, Alejandro Jimenez took center stage at Samuel Cole Salon to educate and inspire their design team. The razor cutting and styling class featured Bumble and bumble’s newest Surf Spray family of products release, Surf Foam Wash Shampoo and Surf Crème Rinse Conditioner.  Designed to cleanse, hydrate and enhance natural texture, these new products are formulated with the same genius blend of body-enhancing minerals and sea botanticals as Surf Spray.  Ideal for any hair type that needs a little beachy texture.  Jimenez demonstrated several runway and editorial styling techniques, as well as razor cutting.

Jimenez has a long history as part of Bumble’s elite runway and creative team. He has worked on many fashion events, such as Victoria’s Secret’s Fashion Show. In addition, he serves as the Bumble Educator in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Wella Hair color at Samuel Cole Salon in RaleighMay 2013 (RALEIGH, NC) – Veronique Breault, one of Samuel Cole Salon’s talented stylists, recently entered Wella’s prestigious Trend Vision 2013 competition.  Each year, top industry influencers prepare ideas and give great insight to emerging trends in fashion, color, and styling. These trends are Haute Couture Collections for inspiration and ready-to-wear looks for salons and their clients.  This annual competition is an event that recognizes and rewards the next generation of talented stylists in the US and globally.  Stylists submit photos of their interpretation of one of four of this year’s trends (Fusion, Decibel, Echo or Allegra).  Each trend focuses on cutting-edge color, styling and design.  Veronique entered under the Decibel trend spotlighting extremely vivid color contrasts with unexpected faded and washed-out pieces.

April 2013 (RALEIGH, NC) – Samuel Cole Salon stylists, Cara Harrison, Alley Biehl and Tiffanie Spellenberg recently entered W Magazine and Bumble & bumble’s “The Artist” competition.  “The Artist” is a styling competition exclusive to Bb. Network salons.  Stylists submit photos of their editorial-inspired looks using the new Bb. Thickening Full Form Mousse and Crème Contour.  Six semi-finalists will be chosen.  The semi-finalists will then submit a personalized video which will be featured on the W and Bb. Facebook pages.  The public will vote on their favorite and the stylist with the most votes will become “The Artist”.  The winner will receive a trip to NYC where they will work with two mentors from the House of Bumble to recreate their look for a photo shoot for W Magazine to be featured in their October 2013 issue.

March 26-27, 2012 (New York City) – Samuel Cole Salon Master Designer, Michael Knight recently attended Bumble & bumble University located in New York City’s historic meat packing district.  Knight enhanced his skill set by studying with master hairdressers at Bumble in a rigorous two day course entitled Design Workshop.  He engaged in comprehensive theory and hands-on training covering advanced razor techniques, as well as consultation skills and product knowledge.

“My Bumble & bumble experience in New York City was amazing.  Bumble has one of the most incredible training facilities in our industry.  My time with the instructors was invaluable and I was able to learn some exciting new techniques with a razor, as well as improving the skills that I already possess.  Spending time at Bumble definitely reignited my creative fire.  I so look forward to a return visit.  One of the best parts of the trip was traveling with my salon’s owners, Jack and Joelle Ray.  We took advantage of our downtown location and made some great new discoveries in the city.  I think one of my fondest memories was meeting Tim Tebow at a restaurant (Scarpetta).  Thank you Jack and Joelle for giving me the opportunity to attend Bb U and for being such wonderful travel partners.  You guys rock,” said Knight.
