July 2011 (CHAPEL HILL, NC) – Samuel Cole Salon Stylist, Veronique Breault was a 2011 recipient of the Beacon Award while she was a student at The Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill. The Beacon Awards are sponsored by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) as part of their Beauty Week featuring the esteemed NAHA’s (North American Hairstyling Awards). The Beacon awards are a competition in the United States and Canada for cosmetology students only. Each applicant must submit three before and after pictures of hair that they have cut, colored, and styled and a marketing project, as well as a letter of recommendation.

Out of over 4,000 submittals, Breault was one of only 100 winners. Winners went to Las Vegas for three days of education and opportunities to network with the industry’s highest profile salon owners and stylists. Beacon winners attended specialized classes with the biggest names in the industry, got up close and personal with NAHA finalists and got a firm understanding of the business of beauty. “I was thrilled to win such a prestigious award. I worked really hard on my application. To be recognized as one of the winners was such an honor. Getting to go to Vegas for three days and attend the NAHA’s was fantastic,” said Breault.

June 20, 2011 (RALEIGH, NC) – Renowned editorial stylist, Ronnie Stam brought his inspiration and expertise to Samuel Cole Salon in a class focusing on the “Oribe” bob. As part of Oribe Canales’ education team, Stam presented an edgy and classic version of this timeless cut.

Ronnie’s work has graced top global fashion publications, TV commercials, advertising campaigns, calendar’s, music videos and many special projects. One of the personal highlights in Ronnie’s career has been to work exclusively and tour with world known rock bands The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith.

June 17, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) – Raleigh’s award-winning Samuel Cole Salon was selected by The News & Observer for a beauty makeover feature. Samuel Cole Salon stylists did a complete hair and makeup transformation for Christine Miller featured in Refresh Your Style.

“It is so exciting for me to be a part of helping someone rediscover themselves. It is creatively and professionally empowering,” said one of the stylists who worked on the makeover.

May 21-23, 2011 (Las Vegas, NV) – Samuel Cole Salon stylists, Sara Beard and Nikki Galloni attended Oribe Backstage 2011. The educational event held in Las Vegas was part of the Oribe Artistic Director Program and featured Oribe Canalas in person. Oribe is a wildly successful celebrity/editorial stylist whose clients include Lady Gaga, Penelope Cruz, and Jennifer Lopez.

Oribe spread his charismatic charm and decades-long editorial styling wisdom with attendees through hands-on sessions throughout the event.

March 21, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) – Oribe educator, Adam Livermore, shared his expertise with Samuel Cole Salon stylists teaching the legendary Oribe Signature Cut. Oribe’s Signature Cut is famous for it’s timelessness. Oribe has been adapting this cut to trends and the era for 30 years. The long layered cut works on almost every woman and can be cut at many different lengths. The cut is designed specifically for each individual and will never look the same twice.

Adam Livermore’s Bio
In seven short years, Adam Livermore has become a driving force in the hairdressing industry. After working behind the chair as a master stylist and education director at Spalon Montage in Minneapolis, and as an educator with Wella Professionals and Kevin Murphy, Adam relocated to New York City and began traveling the world as an educator for Oribe Hair Care. Adam now works side by side with Oribe himself at fashion shows in Paris, Milan and New York – and takes that creative vision back to the top salons in North America.

Adam is a competitive stylist, having taken his styles to the North American Hairstyle Awards and the Wella International Trend Vision Awards. He earned the 2007 Wella National Trend Vision Gold Award and went on to compete in the International Trend Vision Awards in Barcelona, where he represented the United States.

When he’s not with clients at Three Squares Studio in New York or teaching classes at Oribe salons around the nation, Adam is collaborating with top photographers to create inspiring new imagery.
