Shags are back and we are so excited!! Whether this haircut is new to you or an old favorite, we are so excited to show off the version we learned in our Shag cutting class with Carly Quist and Tim Wingate. For a lot of people, the Shag is a long time favorite for those who love movement and a prominent fringe! For others that want to keep their length, the shag can be a little scary. Well I am here to tell you that Carly and Tim’s modified version is for everyone! It features lots of movement with seamless lines and a customizable fringe for each client.

Carly really took the time to illustrate how face shape and individual needs impact the length of the fringe. She brought a positive energy that was like a breath of fresh air to our shag cutting class. She is a Kerastase educator working out of Mark Ryan Salon in New York. Tim joined us all the way from Julien Farel Salon in Palm beach Florida. Following Carly, Tim’s technique for the base of the haircut was simple and lead to beautiful consistent results. Carly and Tim worked through the haircut together with ease.
