Samuel Cole Salon Hosts Advanced MAC Makeup Class

MAC-makeup-classApril 15, 2013 (RALEIGH, NC) – Samuel Cole Salon hosted an advanced MAC Makeup class featuring MAC Cosmetics artists, Krystal Lehman and India Jones.  Krystal and India taught the stylists the latest looks from MAC’s 2013 Trend Vision.  These talented artists shared their expertise on how to create flawless skin, a beautiful bronze glow, and the power of a bright pop of color on the lips.  Each stylist recreated the amazing looks on their models.  The techniques provided the stylists with even more options for their clients, especially with the prom and wedding seasons in full swing.

April 2013 (RALEIGH, NC) – Samuel Cole Salon stylists, Cara Harrison, Alley Biehl and Tiffanie Spellenberg recently entered W Magazine and Bumble & bumble’s “The Artist” competition.  “The Artist” is a styling competition exclusive to Bb. Network salons.  Stylists submit photos of their editorial-inspired looks using the new Bb. Thickening Full Form Mousse and Crème Contour.  Six semi-finalists will be chosen.  The semi-finalists will then submit a personalized video which will be featured on the W and Bb. Facebook pages.  The public will vote on their favorite and the stylist with the most votes will become “The Artist”.  The winner will receive a trip to NYC where they will work with two mentors from the House of Bumble to recreate their look for a photo shoot for W Magazine to be featured in their October 2013 issue.

April 8-9, 2013 (New York City) – Samuel Cole Salon Senior Stylist & Mentor, Nikki Galloni recently returned from Bumble & bumble University in NYC where she attended Curl Workshop.  The intense two day advanced course is designed to apply Bb U Design School’s scissor, razor, and styling techniques to analyzing different curl textures, talking about them, and creating suitable long and short shapes with precision and control (and adding your own professional signature).  Galloni engaged in daily hands-on sessions with multiple models.  She learned how to conduct effective curl consultations and deliver on these by utilizing cutting and styling techniques specific to curly textures.

“Being at Bumble & bumble University is everything that you would want it to be.  Surrounding yourself with such intelligent and creative hairdressers is a true source of inspiration.  Continually expanding my knowledge and creativity is very important to me.  And, to get the opportunity to do that in NYC at Bumble & bumble is unparalleled,” said Galloni who has naturally curly hair herself.
