May 21, 2010 (RALEIGH, NC) – Holding true to their continuing commitment to their community, Jack and Joelle Ray, owners of the award-winning Samuel Cole Salon in North Raleigh, donated their team’s time and talent to “Pink on the Links” Fashion Show. Pink on the Links is part of the Rex Hospital Open, a Nationwide TOUR golf tournament. In recognition of breast cancer prevention, diagnosis and survivorship, Nationwide TOUR players wore pink as part of their golf attire. It was a day of education and activities for everyone culminating in a reception and fashion show at the TPC at Wakefield Plantation clubhouse.
Breast cancer survivors were the stars of the evening as they modeled the latest fashions. Samuel Cole Salon stylists readied the models’ hair and makeup for their strut on the runway. Jack Ray spoke to the audience on why this cause is near and dear to his and Joelle’s hearts having both of their mothers affected by this disease. He also shared salon secrets on how to recreate that salon look at home.
“We were happy to join in the battle against Breast Cancer once again. It is a disease that affects so many people- it feels great to lend our support in efforts to raise awareness,” said Joelle Ray.
